Using GardenDraft on iPhone and Android Browsers

GardenDraft works in modern iPhone and Android browsers today. Native apps are in progress. The phone experience uses the same planner and account as the desktop web version, so your gardens and data sync automatically through the same service.

Signing in

Mobile browsers sign in the same way as the desktop web app. Enter your email and we send you a sign-in link. It expires after 15 minutes, and it opens a page with one more Sign in button to finish.

• Tap the link if you read the email on your phone. It opens GardenDraft signed in.
• Open the link on any device. If you read the email on your laptop but started on your phone, the link signs you in on the device where you open it.

What to expect

• Everything stays in sync. A bed you edit on your phone is updated when you open your laptop.
• An internet connection is required. GardenDraft does not currently work offline.
• Mobile-first design. The planner, calendar, tasks, and logbook are all built for touch. The workspace supports drag, pinch, and tap-to-place: pick a plant once, then tap empty soil for each one you want. Tapping a plant that's already there selects it and stops placing.
• A shorter toolbar. On phones, Measure and Labels live in the toolbar's … menu, Undo and Redo show as icons, and the zoom buttons give way to pinch-to-zoom (tap the percentage to reset). The keyboard-shortcuts button is hidden on touch screens, tablets included.
• No 3D view on phones. The 3D tab is hidden on phone screens. Open the garden on a tablet or computer to use it.
• Exports. The Garden Book PDF can be downloaded from your phone.

The keyboard shortcuts in the shortcuts reference apply when a hardware keyboard is attached. Copying and pasting beds needs one, so do that on a laptop or attach a keyboard to your phone or tablet.
